Hi Jim and all:

Yes standard home garage are not designed for a westy and this has been a
problem for many westy owners....in the past I have made custom skylights
for that problem by lowering the overall height by 1/2" gust enough to clear
The garage opening if interested do your calculations and let me know

All this talk about skylights has me thinking about one again. But
I've seen several references to the fact that if I install a
skylight, I can no longer park in a standard home garage.

Is that true for any or all skylights?
