Thanks, Sam. I'll have a gander at the O2 sensor in the morning. It's puzzling, though, in the past when I've had O2 sensor problems they developed gradually, not abruptly. Is there anything the mechanic could have done accidently that would cause it to start malfunctioning? For instance, would replacing the muffler cause a change in the O2 levels because the exhaust pressure had increased or decreased? Could the CAT have been affected in some way which could work itself out on the O2 sensor? In any event, how might the coolant level indicated be tied in?
