This is a bit of a sore spot for me to. I got a dual plug so that I could plug in my XM Sat. Roady2 and the Navman 570 GPS and the connection ain't so great. I'd rather have a deep receptacle so those devices don't lose power.

On the other hand, I have a triple adapter with on/ off switch plugged into a receptacle that I connected to the spare battery and use only when the vehicle is running. To this I plug in my extra fans to get more cooling from the AC. I can also plug in the cell phone adapter if needed. Lot's of electrons movin' around....
