After 6 months of use I noticed the insulated end of my coil where the coil high voltage wire exits was burned off but still running ok. It was a red bosch (mexico or brazil??) coil from a list vendor. I did have a lot of bulb grease inside the wire end, and I seem to remember a problem getting the coil wire fit properly. When I removed the wire, didn't see the "c-clip" on the end. Wires are also newer(Brazil?), about 2 years old, from list vendor . I had used the grease when installing the wires. I reinstalled the old coil. Drove about 400 miles now. Anyone have this problem? Seen it or know why? How to prevent? Thanks, Chris C 90 MV |
