The issue of a blinking coolant level light has come up before, but my problem is a little different. When the engine ('85, 1.9 l) is cold, the light blinks briefly but goes out in a few seconds as it should. But, when I turn off the hot engine and then restart it, the light blinks and does not go out any more. This is very predictable. My first guess is the control relay, which, apparently is way up under the dash (what on earth were they thinking?!), but which one is it and how to get it out? Some of you have indicated you changed the relay in your particular case. How did you manage to find and remove the blasted thing? It's not shown in Bentley, or, rather, the picture shown doesn't bear any resemblance to my van. Would really value your guidance. Charles '85 Westy |
