The underside of the manual transmission and the bell housing on my 87 Westy is completely coated with shiny and thick black stuff. It is hard to the touch, and I can barely scrape it off. It seems to have leaked out from the axles' flanges on the transmission side. All four CV boots are in healthy shape. Is this normal or should I do something about it? J-W |
