This is non sense! As for bypass valves opening at 12 psi, that is 12 psi across the filter element, not system pressure. For our Vanagons, 12 psi difference would be no oil pressure at idle. It better open before that. As for extending drain intervals to 7,500 miles, that is a non issue for most oil filters, especially using synthetics. If you can clog the filter, you have a problem. As for doing a better job or keeping the oil cleaner, I do not see the absolute micron rating. How much can it collect and what size particles can it trap. $100 can get 12 or more Quality filters. That's 90,000 miles at 7,500 mile intervals, (factory recommended) and I don't have to wash them. What will the solvent cost? Dennis
