Hi,
I have a Jack-All (which is very much like the high-lift) that I use on my van. I modified it by having the part that goes into the jack point on the stock jack cut off and welded to bracket that then fits over (and is bolted) to the Jack-All. I would say you DO have to do this modification otherwise the high- lift will rub and scrape against van body when in use. The high-lift type jack makes the stock jack look like a toy, its much much better. This kind of modification to jacks is not my idea, The Land Rover crowd do it, Google it!
