hey Roger. Thanks for idea. I put some grease bewteen ball and socket. No diff. To all: Another lister sugg. I have a helper push pedal while I listen and "see" where it's coming from. I'll do that. Since TO bearing and clutch plate/disk were replaced **twice** in less than 2 yr's by PO's, I am suspicious of exactly what may have happened in there..... At least fluid levels are fine......
