I ALMOST had one installed in my old air cooled van, but unfortunately my BA-6 gas heater was in the way. In a non-aircooled van I understand it there is a cross member under the van that needs to be moved backwards to fit, other than that it is loke swapping any gas tank (replace your fuel lines while you're in there whether they need it or not.
