Mission accomplished! Thanks to all for the suggestions. Releasing the clips that hold the sidewall a foot along the top and a foot along the front edge gave us enough room to stick a hand in and hold the metal rim while we pushed the ashtray against it to lock it. Having the sidewall panel loose also helped us locate where to mount the folding cup holder. Mad
