In essence you asked  "Is it normal to have the current draw when using
a paper clip to jump the temp sensor on the radiator almost cause the
clip to melt?"


I don't think it is normal to use a paper clip to jump the temp sensor
on the radiator, so I doubt if many list members, if any, would know the
answer.
