Subject: Metallic "click" when depressing clutch pedal (Searched archives)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi all.

Could really use some help before I start taking things apart.

1/2 way through clutch pedal travel, there's a metalic "click". When pedal depressed to floor, then allowed all the way up, then depressed again, click happens consistently. If allowed only 7/8 of the way up, then depressed, it doesn't happen. I'm pretty sure click is coming from the rear.

Do any listers know where/what this sound might be coming from?

Slave cyl. has no visible leaks, clutch/hydraulics work. i.e. gets into reverse ok, and according to PO's reciepts, clutch kit, (due to "throw out bearing noise") was installed not too many km's ago.

Any ideas are muchly appreciated.

TIA,
