Chris,

Not sure about the 48" hi-lift jack. But, I had Terry Kay make a jack extension for me. Will be trying it out for the first time tonight. Will update tomorrow.

I have an 85 2wd westy. Stock suspension. With 15x6 ET30 rims and BFG LT215-75R15. I rubbed for the first time this weekend while camping/exploring.

It rubs at the top of the tire under full compression. It never rubs in town.

Has anyone had this problem? Suggestions???

I was thinking:

1) lift kit from van cafe 2) cutting the fender wells 3) limiting the suspension

thanks

tom

since the '85 model year Vanagons have got the highest ground height clearance of any year 2wd vanagons, and now my '85 Doka is riding on 215 75 16" tires/wheels (thats right - on a 2wd '85 with NO suspension mods and stock shocks/stock springs...and there is NO rubbing) i really need a jack that will lift the van as the stock jack doesnt cut it anymore.. i was thinking about Van-Cafe's 48" hi-lift jack:

anyone have any experience with it? who makes it? and does it fit into the stock jack holes as well as the OEM jack?

TIA.. chris
