Hello there,here are some  pictures of poverty caps I bought two years ago. Mileage is zero.These are on my parts van.The rust appeared within 1 month.This ,with no driving. These are the $8.95 caps that are commonly avalliable. They are single chrome plated.What you and me want ,but dont want to  pay for are triple chrome caps. They are about $40 each. You are just wasting your money on these caps.An alternative is used bus caps.Beetle caps wont fit.

 I painted one as an experiment to see if I liked them and if they would hold up.I do like them and they hold up.1 year old paint.I think the rust grips the paint. Notice the OEM ,unused Continental tire.22years old.
