Locksmiths hate steel keys... apparently it dulls their cutting tools.

You can cut it yourself if you've got a Dremmel tool with a cutting
attachment.  There's two ways to do it.

If your existing copy is good, you can use that as a guide:  use a
extra-fine point sharpie marker to "trace" the copy onto the blank,
and then cut away.

If your copy is really worn, you can use the key code to get a new
"master" key made up at the locksmith, and then use the trace method
above with your new copy.

Either way, only cut a small bit away at a time.  Constantly test
your new key to see if it works.  Remember, you can always cut more
away, but never put stuff back on the key blank if you cut too much.
