Appropos of nothing (but I'm just whinging ... )

We didn't have a broken screen but a broken glass. Along with the back-most windows on both sides. (Along with about a dozen more vehicles' windows ...) Blimmin' brats ... ~~~>-:(

Anyway. The glass folks had a "provider" for a replacement window assembly for the sliding door. Only trouble is, Simon could just barely open it and I couldn't even nearly open it!

So we went to our local Save-Obsolete-Bits-From-The-Trash. Paid beaucoup bucks ($150.00!) for a sliding-door window assembly from an '87. Thing is, it wasn't a Westfalia window assembly so it didn't quite match ours.

In the attempt to keep our van worth more than $6000 resale price, we went back to the glass folks with the Westfalia-shaped window and told them to "fix it so we could open it!". Which, in the end, they have done. :-)
