Bass lists. Oh uh, my worlds are colliding. I always wondered what Vanagon list members were on the Bass lists too. Talkbass is pretty good. If you are into bluegrass you can join the http://groups.google.com/group/bgBass-L list. The http://mailman1.u.washington.edu/mailman/listinfo/2xbasslist is a good list but the posters are usually classical players though are allot of lurkers from all genres. Posting "What's the best bowing for Trepak." Will illicit more responses than "What's the best bolt to use to put the neck of my Kay back on?". www.rockabillybass.com is great for rockabilly players.

On topic, what comes up often in all these lists is people asking "what is the best vehicle to carry my double bass in?". As most people are tossing in suggestions for min-vans and SUVs someone always posts "Why a VW van, of course..."
