Not saying it will work on a Vanagon, but on old Ford 8N/9N tractors we used to wash oil soaked brake shoes in regular solvent and burn off any remaining oil residue with the torch. Route 66 Rider! Ramon Hill Live Long and Be Free =================================== -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of neil Sent: Tuesday, September 12, 2006 2:32 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: "Brake Parts Cleaner" question (searched archives) Hi all. I had an incredibly stuck drum, and used "Liquid Wrench" to help get it off. Some of the LW got onto shoe linings. I used "Brake Parts Cleaner" to clean the shoes. Will the BPC effectivly clean the LW off the shoe linings? Or does LW soak into lining rendering shoes useless? Cheers, Neil Nicholson. 1981 Air Cooled Westfalia. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
