Actually, you guys all need to go to Pittsburgh and visit Walt Spak and see his Vanagon (and Lancia) friendly house! He bought a wonderful warehouse on the side of a hill, with drive-in entrances on the 1st and 3rd floors. (Hills are serious in Pittsburgh). On the third floor he's building (maybe has finished by now?) a stunning apartment with huge windows overlooking the whole city. Really amazing. The vanagons and Lancias don't drive right into the apartment part, but they do go right into the building, so they are right there any time he might want to look at them, work on them, etc. Matilda and I drove right in too, we even popped the top inside, back when I still had my kayak on the roof. We did have to make sure the kayak didn't hit the hanging lights, but otherwise no clearance problems.

Walt, are you out there? I think it's time you published that warehouse/ apartment of yours on the internet so everyone can see!
