Ah. Some goot news. Based upon an ETKA image: Model: VA Year:81 MG:1 SG:1 Illustration: 29-00 and what my VW parts guy figures, the driver side bushing for clutch housing is made of brass. Maybe you all knew this. Regardless, I really didn't want to put plastic back in there, so this is good news to me.
