The fridge stops running on battery as soon as the engine is off, so you
don't have to worry about draining the battery. The worst you'll come back
to is a warm fridge. I didn't know that for a long time, and wouldn't run
on battery while driving, but it's true. I speak from experience!
I do forget to relight at times. If it's not too hot out and it's only a
couple of hours, the fridge holds the cold. If it's hot I usually remember
to light it, since I'm hot too.
My propane definitely does blow out while driving, except for sometimes
short distances. So Frank says that means something is wrong. But the
fridge works great in all other respects. Though it can get too cold on
propane and freeze the lettuce.
