Dometic and Norcold may not agree. Some where in '89, the fridge was
upgraded to the Dometic 182B-EGI. The main difference is the manual spark
igniter was replaced with an electric "re-igniter". Yep, if the flame goes
out, this thing will instantly spark like made to get the flame re-lighted
and if it re-ignites before the milli-volt sensor turns off the gas, all is
good. On my RV, the gas will shut off if it doesn't re-light in ~45 seconds,
wait 2 minutes and try again. That is some considerable effort and control
logic to keep the fridges running on Propane. It must be intended.

Hmm, haven't I heard that "fridge on propane while driving" discussion
before?
Is that not why you can run your fridge on battery while driving? Because
why drive with an open flame under your fridge when you don't have to?
Not to mention that on most people's vans it doesn't stay lit anyway! As
indeed it probably shouldn't.
