Hi. I'll try to be concise ;) Problem: stripped pivot bolt threads on tranny. Wanted to understand/confirm your idea. Was that: thread pivot bolt hole on new brass bearing to accept a new exterior pivot bolt. New bolt would replace stock 11mm pivot bolt, and attach to (screw into) new brass bearing but not to tranny housing. Stock plastic parts on order, but If I can change order and get brass bearing for driver side, I will. Does the diesel vanagon clutch housing use this brass driver side bearing? If not, I just want to get this done and will go with plastic. Sure wish I had a lathe...... pretty sure I could make new brass bearing
