The PS pressure switch is just that, a simple switch. No polarity there.

I have two 88 GL's. One red, one blue. The red one runs, the blue one
doesn't - it's a project vehicle.

Ok, the High Pressure line off the power steering pump on my red van
sprung a leak, so I needed to replace the line. Since it's the weekend,
and getting any parts is always difficult on weekends. I exercised
another option. I pulled the line - including the PS pressure switch -
from the blue van and swapped it over.

Now you would think ..... two 88 GL's - everything is the same, right???
Wrong, at the least the wiring for the power steering pressure switch is
different. On the blue van, both wires are white, no marks on the wires,
no other identifiers, and no marks on the PS switch. On the red van, one
wire is RW (red/White) the other is WY (White/Yellow). By Bentley the RW
wire goes to Ground, and the WY goes to the Idle Stabilizer Control Unit
(which is forward of the right hand tail light).

Question: Which wire goes to which terminal on the pressure switch.
There are no marks on the switch - either the one I took off or the
replacement. Since the two wires on the blue van were both white, it
gives me no means for comparison to maybe solve the problem as to which
goes where on the red van. The relative positions of the switchs are
different enough that I cannot rely on what went before.

Does it matter which wire goes where??

Any input anyone may have to offer up would be much appreciated.
