On Sunday morning, while Mrs Squirrel and I were breaking camp, I was outside, puttering and packing gear, and she was inside, cleaning the kitchen. After noting that I had not left the kitchen as clean as she likes after my last solo camping trip, she announced that the sink was not draining. So I emptied the gray water container and the water began to drain. A few moments later, though, she said it wasn't draining again. I inspected the 18'' drain hose and found no problem, and the garden hose type ball valve I had screwed into the drain fitting on the bottom of Mellow Yellow was in the "on" position. So I went inside and tried probing down the sink drain with a nylon wire tie, which didn't get very far -- that drain is built funny, I guess.

Puzzled, I went back outside and unscrewed the ball valve from the underside and water began to rush out. I took the valve into Mellow Yellow and showed Mrs Squirrel the coffee bean that was plugging the hole in the ball. "Well, there's your problem," I told her.
