OK, I've been an avid air cooled guy for a long time...the word "crusty" comes immediately to mind....

I needed a harness for my 80 Vanagon westy project, and a parts bus came up, so I spent two days doing striparama on the driveway...trial by fire...I've never done anything on a Vanagon that was this serious...this was a really interesting couple of days, and I have a bunch of neat stuff to add to my collection...

Wish I had a hoist though...a couple of days on my back with rust and dirt falling in my face wasn't my idea of a fun time, thank goodness for safety glasses....and holy tie wrap batman...I've never seen so many on one vehicle in my life...then there were the snap in harness holders...

Assembly is reverse of taking it out right....that will be fun...

I feel like I've been christned...again...

Den.
