My nickel's worth........

Rotors ATE Pads Mintex

Above are what I have been using on my 84 Westy with no issues for the past 7 years.

Zimmerman is a very good quality brand when it comes to rotors and have used these on a few other VWs I've owned (currently on my Ghia & 411). For pads - ATE, Jurid, Pagid, PBR (both Deluxe and Metal-Master) are all brands I've used on a variety of disc brake VWs (and a few Japanese vehicles I've owned) over the years, all with excellent results. Some people say that Metal Masters tend to chew up rotors, but I haven't had that experience, I guess because I use good quality, not CHEEP rotors.
