Ruffles what feathers, Lyle? This was the first time I've seen a post from you. If you can make the parts, by all means do so. Many of us have used non-OEM and self-fabricated parts to our personal satisfaction. There is a greater number who insist on stock parts from the country of origin. There's room for everybody. I happen to have a complete 84 which I am parting out. Perfect year for whatever Scott is looking for. Since it's complete, I figured it did not matter what it was he was looking for, I would likely have it. Let's face it, how much could such a part cost used? Probably less than making or even mailing one.

I just got part from VW today for the shiftrod/cable ends on my 89 autotrans conversion project. Cost me $12 even with a good buddy discount. I'm taking it to Home Depot because I now know this bellowed piece of rubber tube is nothing more than that. Probably a few bucks each.
