Hi Frank,

Yeah, that's a pretty good excuse for not jumping on Labrador! Though so is wanting to get away from the cold in the winter, instead of heading towards more of it in the summer!

Maybe I'll just have to rent out my house and go back full-time, starting, say, around June. To BusFusion, then east to spend the summer in Labrador and Newfoundland. Then maybe I can conveniently get some consulting work for a few months (wishful thinking, that I could schedule it myself!!!!), then head off to Mexico with you guys.

Well, please keep me on the list!

Joy

p.s. Do we all get to go to the wedding, too? Get Phil Zimmerman in, too - he went to his daughter's wedding in his vanagon, camped in a cathedral parking lot the whole time!

Instead of that trip Frank..... would you start talking about the Mexico trip next winter, we need 300 peoples to match the Mexican!!!

So, next december, lets do a "Caravan" to Mexico, starting in the North East, all stopping at Larry's place??? oupsss, Lar doesn't have a place.. but a big field.. and into Mexico, 5 mechanics, a few spare engines and many spare parts. I'm sure Karl, Hans would come. So we need another mechanic, or 10!!!

Anyway, i'm up for that, that give us 1 year to prepare everything, let's put up a Yahoo list for that trip!

I'm listening

OK, OK, it's time to let the cat outta the bag ! So here's the story. I'm in the midst of organizing a VW Camper Camping Adventure in Zamora, Mexico. Reason: Very Simple ! My daughter April is getting married there, December 15, 2007. His, Sal's family, from Zamora is showing up 300 strong. On my side it's me, Rita, Rita's sister Judy, her husband Renald, Rita's daughter Isabelle with two grand kids and "maybe" my sister Maria. That's it that's all ! So to even out the odds I thought that my Westy friends could be my relatives ! So born is the idea of "Buses in Zamora" culminating in a wedding on December 15, 2007. Plan at the moment is to leave Almonte on December 01 and head for Zamora. Rita & I and a few others I have spoken to privately will spend the rest of the winter in Mexico, probably on a nice beach on the west coast. This is a good opportunity for those who want to visit Mexico but are still a bit afraid of the trip alone. There will be a few of us on this trip who have been to Mexico with their bus and know all the ropes and there will be two or three mechanics along, myself, Benny Boy and hopefully Karl. Karl, are you reading this ? So far there has been a lot of interest in this adventure. I suppose as Benny Boy suggests, a Yahoo group to coordinate would be beneficial. I will work on that and post a message when it's done. Still need to find a spot in Zamora to camp. Plus many other details. For now anyone interested e-mail me directly and I'll start a list.

Joy, this is why I was not quick to jump on the Quebec - Labrador trip. Can't afford two big trips in the same year and I guess I gotta go to my daughter's wedding, eh ? Plus, my busy season in the shop is the short summer we have here, which is also the best time for the Quebec - Labrador trip.

Cheers,
