Back in the day when I was part of Texas Lake Community Society ( "the commune") we were given a shortened '64 bus. Very cute and yes it did wheelies even with the puny motor, but it was very twitchy at highway speeds ie 50 mph. We lost "L'il Toot" when Holly rolled him on Lake of the Woods hill. Thankfully, Holly's only serious injury was a broken arm, but I've been put off shortened wheelbases for life.
