The usual causes of the flame going out while driving is a bad flame due to a jet or air flow problem, or a small leak in the inlet or exhaust piping. The exhaust piping can get small cracks in the flexible section. A leak at the combustion chamber gasket can also cause flame failure. In any of these leak cases, carbon monoxide and other flue gasses can be leaking into the van. This is not a good thing at all. If the fridge is blowing out while driving, then it probably should not be used while sleeping either.

Dennis With a Westry fridge with a known exhaust leak into the van.
