Using the shop vac on it, I bet you got enough of the paper towel out. Of course this is just my opinion, could be wrong, but I have only lost shop towels(cloth)in mine and they came out with a coat hanger. You could pour in a couple of gallons of kerosine through the oil breather on top of the case, and catch and strain what comes out the bottom to see if all of the towel has come through. If nothing else it will be a clean engine. Good luck with it. Phil
