Propane is popular in Holland and the conversions are to dual fuel not just propane the engine is warned up and then it transitions to propane propane does have its down sides the biggest is no inside storage next is power third is fuel distribution. The sludge that builds up behind the intake valve on propane is so soft and gummy it has to be burned off with a torch propane also comes in different grades depending on the use I am still building Zamboni engine mostly propane for ice rinks In the air-cooled engine I use custom made exhaust seats at $10 each my cost 42% nichel non hardened the heat treated seats dont hold up.
I would google Holland propane conversions Bob
