When I got my '84, in 1991, the bushings were squeaking. I used silicone spray then (stopped the squeaking) and every year since. The bushings look good. I've read in the archives where more than one person has replaced the control arm bushings only to have the new ones squeak right from the git-go. Again, the silicone works for me. When the bushings show their wear I'll replace them. Mike |
