I can't say much about the "Wolfsburg" rear seat, because I don't know of any differences between it and any other 3 person rear seat that extends out to make a bed. I can tell you that I have an 84' Westy, and that I pulled the 2 person rear seat and side cabinets from it, leaving the appliance cabinet (fridge, sink, & stove unit) in place. I then installed a 3 person rear seat (converts to bed too) and 2 person middle seat from an 87' Syncro. The middle seat mounts with rails, so I am able to remove it rather easily. Now I have the benefit of a 7 passenger vehicle and still have the fridge/sink unit for camping. The rear seat is full width, so I have a larger bed area to sleep on and it does not touch the appliance cabinet. The only negative, is that I ended up losing the storage space of the cabinets. Eventually, I will install a water tank underneath the Westy floor underneath the sliding door. Eurocampers sells one that fits. Hope this helps. David Wilhite 84' Westy Middle TN I checked into installing one of the early Westy water tanks that fits under the rear seat, but it is too tall to fit underneath my steel-framed rear seat. I think the wood frame of the early Westys has more clearance under the seat. For a side panel, I'd just get some masonite or some thin birch paneling to make a panel to go behind your cabinet. You could also cover it with matching vinyl if you choose. I ended up cutting my orginal Westy panel in order to fit the rear side panels (seat area - back) from the 87'. -------------- Original message -------------- From: Cary Chiang <ccc1@VOLNY.CZ> > There is an '86 Westy Wolfsburg Camper (pop-top, rear closet, plastic > side panels, fold-out table, & corduroy seats, but no appliances) that > I am considering installing a Westy kitchen appliance cabinet into. > Although I have all of the full Westy interior cabinets, I don't have > the two person rear seat, or the flat side panels.
