There is a way to prevent this scenerio. I sell headlight protective guards that prevent any rock hits. They are plexiglas shields that snap into the grill of the late model Vanagons (86-91 with square lights). I have been using them on my van for the past three years and they have not discolored and I have not had any rock hits in my lights. They are $59 for a pair. They cover the inner and outter lights completely to protect them all. This is cheap insurance when you consider that there is around $400 worth of glass up front. The part number in our store is AS2117*. Hope this helps. Getting out of my '88 Westy today I noticed water in my left headlight - closer inspection revealed a rock or BB hit that knocked a hole in the headlight about the size of a pencil tip. Does anyone know where you can get a single E-code H-4 rectangular Headlight for a Vanagon? thanks, Todd '88 westy |
