I have a performance chip in the ECU of my '87 Westy with Boston Bob's Big Valve engine. Can't say if this chip is the same. It definitely is not from the same vendor. Performance increase ? Not sure about that. I've had the chip in there for some three years now and no ill effects. My gas mileage is around 18 mpg. Not much else to say.
