Long ago in a country far away, Triumph Motorcars in Leyland had a finely bound manual far better than Bentley. Many of their state of the art vehicles used rubber bushings in the suspension. The recommended lubricant was automatic transmission fluid. Rubber compatible, widely available, light lubricant. Use that cajun turkey flavor injector to put it where it needs to go. However do a soapy water wash of the injector before Thanksgiving. The basic problem is dry rubber to steel. The solution is to lightly lubricate the interface. As far as BenT's squeaky front end parts, ATF may or may not work. |
