Hi Craig and others -

I replied to Tim off-line, in the interests of not cluttering the airwaves, but since Craig didn't, I'll send around the gist of my reply.

This is _not_ a problem of getting cut off in mid-download - in that case all emails would download again, not just Vanagon emails, and it would also not happen all the time, only when one gets cut off.

It is also _not_ a problem of people who reply to both the sender and the list - I'm getting the list emails twice. When folks reply to sender and list, I get them three times, once to me and twice to the list. It would be helpful, though, if people looked when they replied, and deleted the sender's name in the "To:" space if they are replying to the list.

When I download emails, the little message in the bottom right of Microsoft Outlook will say "6 emails" and then I'll get 12 messages (assuming they are all Vanagon emails, that is). So it is seeing 6 but then downloading them twice. Only with Vanagon mail, however.

I'm getting good at deleting! Next strategy might be to switch to digest and see if I get those twice. But I won't read any of it if I get it in digest mode, so that isn't a solution.

Sigh.

J.
