When Living in Alaska, the local natual gas company ran all their trucks
on LNG - Liquified Natural Gas. However, they offered no conversions to
anyone else. Gasoline was still so cheap that the demand for LNG was
zilch!.  Now, years later, that has prol'ly changed somewhat.

Currently, the city bus lines in Birmingham, AL run on natural gas. I
don't know of how they are set up, but in the streets wtween the
towering office buildings, I can tell you that being rid of those old
diesel burning, fume belching old busses is a blessing to  all.
