If you absolutely must replace the light, you can get them from your local VW dealership, or call Camelback VW/Subaru in Phoenix - 800-876-5199. Last I checked they were about $125/130. You need the part numbers though. Maybe someone on the list has them.

Otherwise blow warm air through until dry, then plug the hole with a good sealer - silicone, automotive GOOP, whatever, then put some of that 3M Rock Protection Film on them. It won't prevent a boulder from getting through, but it does increase the resistance to rock chips.
