You would think that out of all of the gas tanks manufactured in this world there would be one that had a larger capacity (i.e. no valley) and the (approximate) appropriate dimensions... I was looking at my stepdad's Cadillac... the filler is on the rear driver's side, and the outlets of course go towards the front of the car, so if you flipped it around you'd have the various holes near the general required locations. I spent a little time looking online some time ago but I didn't have the measurements and I wasn't real motivated about it at that point but I'm eventually going to have to deal with the condition of the tank and its extremities just as so many others have done. There has to be an adaptable near-bolt in solution out there and unless I'm missing something it shouldn't be that complicated. What would be the main pros and cons to consider? Robert |
