I have found this " Get in through the Window" feature to be very handy a number of times when I have left the key in the ignition and gone out the passenger door of my work van. I agree with Chris, if somebody REALLY wants in they'll just go through the glass. By the time your alarm gets noticed, your laptop or guitar is going around the corner.
