Hi volks, I'm in need of instructions on removing the steering transfer gear (which according to Bentley "cannot be repaired") and the master clutch cylinder. This is a 90 Vanagon GL. I have the Bentley manual, which could be a lot more helpful than it is! but that's all I have. Also - and this is going to sound pretty daft - I cannot get the little black plastic buttons off the inside panel on the rear door. I am assuming that behind these little black buttons are screws that fasten the panel, which is that fiberboard stuff covered with a thin sheet of plastic, also black, but when I try slipping a knife or other blade under the edge of the button, I am unable to pop it off. The buttons are very thin and flexible, so they flex, but do not come off. Your help would be much appreciated. Steve |
