> RE: Batteries > Note that the Odesy PC1200 is a 44 amp hour battery as opposed to the 55 amp > hour of the Optima and around 50-55 amp hour of a standard starting battery. But Hawker claims an Odessey can be discharged essentially to zero and recharged many times. Other batteries was a maximun discharge of 50%. See: http://www.odysseyfactory.com/documents/US-ODY-AM-001_0406.pdf on page 10 for a German DIN test. I switched from an Interstate starting battery to an Odessey last winter because after a couple year's use, the starting battery just couldn't deliver many amps. I haven't had any troubles with the Odessey, but only have 4-5 trips of experience so far. This is for my aux battery. You can also use an Odessey as a starting AND deep cycle battery, similar to the Optima Yellowtop.
