Kenneth,
I finally have everything fixed I think..! I located the radiator fan relay, ( #5 I think ) and I kave 12 volts on the red/white wire out on the fan thermo switch. Some wiring schematics show a second thermostat relay, up on the passenger side of the radiator... mine doesn't have this saecond relay. I honestly don't see any reason it should not work. If it odesn't, it's as every one says, it's probably a ground. I wish there was a way to check that out, without being out driving, it getting hot again... then trying to find out what is wrong then..?
I noticed on my signal light problem, the rubber boots are still letting in moisture to the terminal lugs. I wonder if a Zip tie, where the boot goes around the light itself, would hold it tight enough to keep the water out..?
It looks like I may be ready to get the inspection... I dropped my cat and old muffler to the mufler shop I got it inspected at... she is going ot build up that part, and Monday afternoon, she will weld the new part to my pipe. I got to thinking that $80 bucks might be money well spent lettting her do the muffler install, she can finish my inspection then as well.
One more question, the timing, should it be adjusted to the cut out on the middle of the crankshaft pulley, with the idler stabilizer plugs together.?? Idle around 900 RPM's is that notch the optium setting... for the 1.9..?
Thanks, In Advance,
