I bought mine off ebay sight unseen based on three things: 1) carfax said it had lived in dry inland southern california all its life, 2) pics showed it was clean and had only the usual number of small dings and scratches, and 3) it was close enough to me that even if it died on the way home, it was within my AAA Plus towing range.
