The sawzall usually works the best. Work the blade through the rubber inside the mounting. This will help guide it straight without taking material off the mounts. Using a torch will entail burning out the rubber. Lots of smoke and possible fire. Dennis

The bolts may be frozen to the steel sleeves inside the bushings, because the entire bushings turn when I apply lots of torque to the bolt heads. I've tried lots of PB Blaster & tapping over several days, plus attempted persuasion by 4-lb sledge, all with no luck. I'd try the Sawzall on them but don't want to damage either the trailing arms or the flanges they attach to on the body. Any ideas? |
