I get such hardware from a "threaded device" specialty house in Birmingham, AL. I think the place is called Alabama Bolt. They have just about anything threaded there that I could ever want. Lowe's and Home Depot stores carry some metric stuff, but get above 10 mm dia. and things get difficult. I recentl;y needed two allen head 10 MM bolts for the AC compressor on my 88 GL. One had to be clear of threads down the shank for 3/4 inch from the bottom of the bolt head, and the other had to have threads all the way. And they were different lengths as well. Alabama Bolt had them. If you live anywhere near a larger city you can probably find at least one such specialty house. Industry really needs these places.
